I am Nakya Michelle,

a Portrait & Event photographer based in Illinois.

     From a young age, sketching, painting, poetry—and eventually, photography have been ways that I’ve expressed myself through art. In 2017, I picked up my first camera, a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H300, and what started as a simple hobby, with time, blossomed into a deep passion. This journey has not only nurtured my creativity but also strengthened my faith and appreciation for ingenuity.

     Photography is a powerful storytelling medium, one that allows me to craft new narratives with each session. Whether capturing a beautiful landscape, a significant milestone, or the essence of a person, my aim is to commemorate your desired moments.

     What I love most about photography is the opportunity to connect with my clients and create authentic, meaningful experiences. Some of my favorite moments behind the lens are the unscripted ones—a spontaneous smile, a shared laugh—that truly embody the heart of the session.
